James will set out recent policy changes relating to proliferation financing and what that means for financial institutions and other regulated sectors in the UK. He will describe some of the challenges of conducting open-source research in this area and how these can be overcome.
About the speaker
James Brady is a research assistant at the Centre for Science and Security Studies at King’s College London where he investigates how states finance and procure technology and materials for nuclear weapons programmes. His main areas of focus include open-source research and proliferation financing national risk assessments. He holds an LLM in international human rights and a BCL, both from University College Dublin (UCD). He is a Young Research Fellow on the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation and sits on the executive committee of British Pugwash.
