TIPS Newsletter | April 2025 - TI-UK publishes 2025/26 Annual Plan

Dear TIPS Member,

In April 2024, TI-UK published its 2025/26 Annual Plan setting out its continued commitment to tackling corruption and promoting integrity in the UK and internationally. The plan focuses on four key priorities: stopping the flow of dirty money, protecting public resources, securing integrity in politics, and driving integrity in business.

In the UK, TI-UK will push for the full implementation of new economic crime laws, improved oversight of professional service providers, and greater transparency in the UK’s Overseas Territories. It will also advocate for stronger safeguards around lobbying, especially in the context of devolution and public spending on issues like housing, healthcare, and climate policy.

Internationally, TI-UK will build on its leadership of two global programmes—Defence and Security, and Global Health. In health, it plans to launch an updated AI media monitoring tool (AIMON), quantify corruption’s economic and health impacts in countries like Kenya, and influence regional bodies in Southern Africa. In defence, it will expand the Government Defence Integrity Index (GDI), support reforms in fragile and conflict-affected states, and promote transparency and civic oversight.

The plan also highlights organisational goals such as increasing multi-year funding, boosting supporter engagement, and fostering a collaborative, high-trust workplace.

Please see below the TIPS Newsletter for April 2025. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Why did you get involved with the TIPS Network?

TI is a globally recognised name so it was a no brainer to join the TIPS network. I was keen to network with like-minded individuals and get insight into relevant but potentially adjacent subjects to my areas of focus.

Please describe your experience as part of the TIPS Network.

I have an accounting background, but TIPS has an interesting diversity of respected members within the legal, governance and media industries. The opportunity to obtain and share a variety of perspectives on matters deepens your understanding of the subject. I think this rounded view has informed my approach to client work and hopefully improved me as a practitioner.
