Dear TIPS Member,
It has been a busy year for the TIPS Network. Thank you, as ever, to the wonderful members of the TIPS Managing Committee who continue to volunteer their time and effort to bring more success to the TIPS Network and to support TI-UK.
Throughout the course of the year, TIPS has welcomed a highly esteemed collection of guest speakers from across the world who have focused on key issues such as ESG, youth involvement, AI and digital activism. One highlight includes an in-person fireside chat with Frank Vogl, co-founder of the Transparency International movement, in February 2022. The TIPS Outreach initiative hosted a debate at KCL, our 3rd TIPS Careers Panel and a Sanctions Panel event.
TIPS has provided an increasingly international platform for the continued discussion of new and emerging anti-corruption topics and for the promotion of TI-UK’s important work. Some 2022 highlights include:
TIPS has grown to more than 490 members across more than 10 countries;
TIPS has hosted 12 TIPS events featuring 20 speakers and promoted 41 affiliate events;
TIPS hosted its third careers panel and launched its inaugural mentoring programme;
TIPS members helped TI-UK to reach its Big Give match-funding fundraising target of £12,000 in Dec 2022.
Thank you, for your support of TI-UK, of TIPS and of the anti-corruption movement! Together, let’s hope in 2023 we can keep on promoting the anti-corruption agenda and use our collective experience for good!
Please see below the TIPS Newsletter for December 2022. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Why did you get involved with TIPS?
I was invited to speak about COP27 and sustainability at a TIPS network event by James Ford, who I know through Mayer Brown’s NextGen network. Transparency is critical to sustainability and climate action, so the opportunity to connect with professionals championing this was fantastic.
Please describe your experience as part of the TIPS Network.
My first TIPS event experience was great, with a really interesting group of very passionate people both in the room and tuning in remotely from abroad. It’s always the sign of a good event when it naturally spills over into everyone continuing conversations over drinks afterwards!
